  I have a hard time blaming the Watchtower

  " if the watchtower said it, and the men on the platform preached it, then it must have been true.

  so it was very hard to accept as an adult, that they were wrong.

  I understand what you are saying but feel you are making it way too black and white. I was raised a witness and could'nt wait to be 18 and out. I was'nt offered the choice I had to steal it.

  There are way too many people here who are not given the choice to just leave an abusive religion, that would be too easy. They are however offered the choice to leave an abusive religion AND your entire family. Sometimes that price is too high to pay. Some people are second, third and fourth generation. Like it or not the society does have an all or nothing policy. You will say.......those people have a choice to not shun the leaver. True, the leaver however does not have the choice to not be shunned by the people they love. Some can't just walk away without blaming their pain on something else because their pain IS caused by something out of their control.

  I got a sore big Toe, what do to make it better?

  i know this may sound kind of dum to talk about but its been a pain for a long time now.

  my big toe on my left leg has been hurting i think it to be caused by a ingrown nail but i don't see anything and i cut the nail stright accross.

  the side of mmy nail is inflamed and if i really get mad at it and squeeze hard on my toe pus will come out i soak it in salt water at night and put neosporen on it and wear shoes that have room for my toe, though its just been the last few weeks that i have wised up and got a pair that fits.

  I used to get ingrown toe nails, very painful. I know it goes against what they say about cutting straight across but since I started cutting the corners off, I have no problems any more. The pain won't go away until you can get the small pointed toe nail on the corner cut off and not growing into the meat of your toe.

  If you went to the doctor they would probably soak the toe abit in warm water, put an anticeptic on it, then put a small piece of waded up cotton ball under the nail at the infected spot. The cotton is big enough to raise the corner of the nail abit to let it grow out without pushing into the meat so much. They would have you soak, put anticeptic and change cotton every day, takes a week or two to grow out. Peroxide is good for disinfecting it. I personally am not that patient. I would be sterilizing everything, soaking then going after that pointy nail with a pair of small pointy sissors till I cried. Keep an eye on the infection to make sure you don't get red streaks up your foot (blood poisoning). If you are diabetic or could be...........see a doctor, your toe may not heal on its own.

  well, actually, i did, but with the blessings of the family.

  it's fake (too many allergies in the house to risk a real one), pre-lit, and 7 feet tall.

  i think it's going to be gorgeous.

  Congrates on your first tree. Have a blast!

  One thing I always did was each year I gave my kids their own ornament on a present. Then when they grew up and moved out of the house they had a set of ornaments for their first tree. Ornaments that they grew up with. I have done it with my grandkids every year also. So they will always have an ornament from Grandma and Grandpa for each year of their life. I date each one and sign them.

  Vita, Decorate the most beautiful tree in your BEDROOM. Shut the door when comany comes. Enjoy it!

  I suppose I would be called a Christian Evolutionist. I have always believed in both. I thought of it as Creative Evolution.

  If you think about it............a baby is a product of evolution. Two seperate cells join together and start to grow and change and become (evolve into) a little human being. Some things take nine weeks, nine months, nine million years.

  i'm new here.. i never said i was going from here just yet, whats with all the "do what you like, and good luck stuff".......i was only "musing" about my position..... i'm still very much here.

  and very much still dithering, when i decide to go, i'll post a goodbye, and see-ya thread and a big thankyou to some good people i've met here, and maybe a couple of f offs to some others...... besides, i'd miss some of you all too much to just go like that.
